hey Dan. Was checking out your website. Seeing your into all sorts of Found sounds. You should check out the label FoundSound and the netlabel UnFoundSound. Might be a bit minimal for your tastes but theres some interesting house/techno made with found sounds. The net label even has some sounds to download for your own use. Worth checking out
Cheers
Bram

I'm not really into minimal... more of a sucker for anything 'lush' (techno/different flavours of house/downbeat/dnb etc) but here are my top places for buying electronica:

http://www.last.fm/user/panoramica/journal/2008/05/08/b5uzp_my_favourite_places_to_buy_those_hard-to-find_electronic_releases

Most of recent buys have been off Boomkat, although my fascination with Dubstep was pretty short lived (although I was listening to The Bug on the way home tonight and I think that's pretty unique).

I also finally tracked down a whole bunch of Tomie Nevada releases on junodownload.com - thanks for that tipoff Bram :) I also thought that it was quite funny that after hunting through YouTube, some random Japanese site and pages of Google results, then finally ending up at Juno tonight.. that I didn't actually like his 4th Memory ;-) No offence intended (I will be buying a bunch of his other stuff) but it's often this way with electronica isn't it? To some people it's all the same dance music unst unst crap, but to those who like it, no two sub genres are the same. :)

Cheers
Dan

2000 and one makes some great stuff, I think I prefer his older output as I guess thats what got me into him. Check out Pecan for a kind of old school/ minimal crossover, Bside is also rad. He releases on dutch labels Intacto and 100% Pure both of which have some really good output. Not really into the whole dubstep thing personally. As you said theres some great housier stuff coming out at the moment, check out Manual Tur, D-Play, Mountain People and Jamie Jones for more of that kinda stuff. On a more techno sorta side I been liking Adam Beyers oiutput over the last year or two techno but not too furious ya know. On a similar vein but not as hard check out Paco Osuna and Alex Under, Alex Under has a label cmyk or something like that which has some cool stuff. Also Rejected make some great stuff, I think its Joris Voorn and some other dutch chap. Release mostly on rejected music I think which is also nice. I could go on and on as I dont really know

anyone into this sorta music but I think ill let someone else have a turn

Bram

Mothersole - true  oldboy ..

I suppose we could also share buying tips .. I finally got onto beatport, but interested to know other good sites for picking up tracks.  I have been buying a lot of house recently, struggling to find minimal that does it for me at the moment.  (but the current stream of house is very minimal in its compositions & structures.)

Also on the hunt for good techno, but need to find a way in.   Most of the stuff I can find is banging and grinding not really my bag, looking for deep melodics.   Anyone know of any techno-centric sites.

The other gap I am looking for is the dubstep / house / minimal cross over.  People have been pointing me at UK Funky .. but what I've heard so far is pretty dry .. like double minimal dubstep for minimal funk lovers .. ?! Any good tips on UK funky ?

Its a lot of new names to me .. but right this minute I am liking what I hear on  - Hessle Audio

House wise I got pointed at an Artists "2000 and one" who off the bat was pretty impressive.

Minimal & techno wise I am following a lot of the net label artists I used to collect onto places like beatport and mostly finding them to be making this new versions of minimal house ..

The Daniel Stefanik remix of this is a nice roll out .

This track is from Leif is lovely:

Designed with that in mind (original mix)

Probably one of my favs right now .. need a big system to justify.

Lost The Number (original mix)
