hey there everyone, my first post, hope this gets through!

Thanks for all the links to the downloads and music streams this week following the 909 lists latest revival :)

I got hooked on electronic music some time ago, the first stuff I heard i'm glad to say was all from new zealand - micronism - inside a quiet mind, pitch black - future proof, and the algorythm2 house compilation, the release party for which, held at the Mandalay in new market, was my first dance party experience and one that blew my mind and opened it up to a whole new world...


Don't think I know anyone on this mailing list personally, but I have a request to make anyway...

I got into mixing about 3 years ago, and I absolutely love playing this music I'm so passionate about.  Unfortunately I only get to play it to myself, my house cat (who seems to dig it!), and occasionally to a bunch of unappreciative friends!  
So, it would be cool if there are some more established djs from auckland on this list who would be interested in getting together at some stage with some noobs like myself to give us a go at playing some music on the kind of setups used in clubs to see how we go on them, give us a few tips, and hopefully get us playing out in town at some low key parties in the future! Wether it be at a club or bar sometime quiet, or at someone's house or studio or whatever.

Most importantly, it would be good to meet some new people out there into this, and have some fun listening to the music we love :) Hopefully this would lead onto a  a few more parties and party people getting together! Or at least give us something to do during the week sometime.

So if anyone out there thinks this wee initiative of mine is worth following up, send a reply and some contact details! Would be great to hear from ya!


FYI, im male, 28, and like playing techno, techhouse, mellow prog house, and other stuff along those lines :)
