Its time to start a thread cheering the good works done by Simon and
Ben and Simon and Matthew and swarms of others and of course the
artists & Djs and punters up at the Caanan Downs fest...once again the
3rd resistance proved to be the place to jiggle in if you were after
tight n chunky sound, techy beat & bleeps at nights or dubs in the
day.
The mix was pretty damn international but the vibe was firmly kiwi
grassroots and the low lighting made it feel VERY deep and outdoorsy
at night....
DJ Pimp pretty much nailed it right and filled the floor on night 1
with suitably naughty sounds..didnt catch much more but reports were
good..
Night 2 was a bit more on the epic side ...my festival pick for kewl
tekno sounds was Gentetz......lets hoping Simon S can get him back to
NZ!
A few tech issues and rewiring of the system made for a few welcome
beatfree moments in what was otherwise a lush night of backtoback
goodness.
Arte Nomade was a fantastic and accesible addition to the lineup..hope
to see them again..and as expected Ben & Simon smashed it with the
best !KillClub yet..



If you weren't able to make it or dont do hippy outdoor stuff....do
consider it next year..join the resistance..
